Educational, Scientific, and Academic Activities
Contribution to the Development of Education and Science
In today’s world, education and production must go hand in hand. That is why I, Yuri Petriv, combine my teaching role at the National University “Lviv Polytechnic” with hands-on experience as the head of the innovative manufacturing company Pakotek.
Our company specializes in sublimation printing, DTF and DTG printing, screen printing (silkscreen), machine embroidery, sportswear tailoring, and working with digital patterns, design, and the production of state symbols using a combination of printing, embroidery, and sewing techniques.
I transform this multifaceted experience into practical case studies, which I present to students of publishing, computer science, computer vision, and information technology fields.
In my teaching, I:
- introduce students to real-world production technologies based on Pakotek’s cases;
- demonstrate the full product creation cycle — from concept and design to final output;
- explain the principles of automation and digitalization in modern textile manufacturing;
- emphasize the importance of design, precision, logistics, and customer service in production;
- encourage engineering thinking and participation in applied research.
Educational outreach also includes speaking at events, mentoring students, reviewing theses, participating in academic festivals, and supporting institute initiatives.
I firmly believe: only when educators bring real practice into the classroom does education become relevant, practical, and in demand.
Such an approach nurtures competitive professionals capable of meeting the demands of the modern market.
