In the modern world, manufacturers use dozens of different methods of applying images. How to choose the best option? Let’s talk about this further.

Popular methods of applying images to clothes

The Pakotek team offers printed clothing and accessories using the following application methods.

Direct digital printing

This is a method of applying full-color images to textiles, based on the use of safe water-based inks and a special textile printer. This modern development allows you to apply designs, prints and logos with high precision to clothing. It is suitable for natural fabrics or knitwear with the addition of synthetic fibers, widely used for advertising, branding and corporate purposes.

Direct digital printing is a profitable service at an affordable price. It is ideal for printing images with fine details and fine lines. The price of such printing is acceptable both for wholesale orders in large quantities, and for small batches or even single orders. Clothes decorated with direct digital printing hold up well after washing and provide comfort in use.

DTF print

DTF printing is a process in which an image is applied to a special film using a printer and then transferred to textiles using a heat press. Under the influence of temperature and pressure, the paint from the film is fixed to the fabric, forming a bright and durable image.

DTF (Direct-to-Film) printing is suitable for different circulations – from one copy to mass production. This technology allows you to quickly produce small batches of products with high-quality printing on various textile materials such as T-shirts, sweatshirts, caps and more.

Silk screen printing

Printing on clothing using the silk screen method is an ideal choice for printing large quantities for events, festivals, concerts, as well as for creating merch.

Silk screen printing uses special screen forms through which ink is applied to the fabric. The result is bright and stable colors of the design, which are very firmly fixed on the fabric. This printing method is durable and wear-resistant, which makes it an advantage among similar methods.

Sublimation method

This is a method of applying images to clothing that involves heating the paint, which changes its state from solid to gas under the influence of temperature. After this, the paint is transferred to the fabric and penetrates deeply into it, forming a very durable image.

The application of images using sublimation printing occurs only on clothing made from artificial fibers, sometimes with the addition of cotton. The brightest prints can be obtained on a light base. For this purpose, special reactive sublimation inks are used, guaranteeing high quality images at a competitive price.

Thermal transfer printing

The printing method using a special ultra-thin thermal film ensures that prints on textiles will be elastic, strong and always bright and rich.

This method allows full-color printing using thermal film and subsequent transfer to textiles.

Machine embroidery

Machine embroidery on clothing is the process of creating decorative designs and patterns on textiles using special embroidery machines. In this process, threads of different colors are automatically stitched through the textile to form an image or pattern.

Machine embroidery can be done on various types of clothing such as T-shirts, shirts, jackets, hats and other textiles. This type of decoration allows you to create a variety of designs, logos, inscriptions or exquisite ornaments that give clothes an individual style and sophistication.

How to choose a method for applying an image?

In order for the product to best meet your expectations, you should consider several important points.

  1. Select the image itself. It is important to understand what paints or threads will be used to apply it.
  2. Decide on the format and location.
  3. Select the type of clothing (sweatshirt, T-shirt, sports uniform, etc.) or accessory (bag, cap) on which you want to apply.
  4. Count a certain number of copies to print.
  5. Create a layout that applications use to transfer images to fabric.
